It is important to match the dimensions of the handles you have previously replaced when replacing them. Inline Lever/Lever A lever or lever door handle is a modern handle that can be used on doors that are new or replacement. This type of handle is available in a variety of styles and finishes. A shorter lever can be used on doors with a latch that can be activated with the thumb located on the inside. To make sure that the euro cylinder is of the right size for your door, it must be measured accurately. The cylinder must be measured from the central screw hole to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn in the event that one is present. If you are unable measure it with the lock in position, you can remove it. A cylinder that extends beyond the handle and escutcheon may be susceptible to attacks like snapping locks, therefore it is important that it's not too long. The majority of modern cylinders have been made with bump and anti-drill features built into their design. These features are designed to minimize the chances of an attack by forcing the cylinder to rotate in the opposite direction. This can help to deflect attacks and protect your door. It offers a spring-loaded solution to help return the multipoint lock handles to their original position after use. The handles were previously equipped with no spring and would drop when the locking mechanism was disconnected. This simple part is the most effective way to solve this issue. It also stops your door from getting stuck in either the open or closed position as they aren't easy to close manually. These spring cassettes are specifically designed for use with multipoint locks that are sprung, they will not fit multipoint handles that are not sprung and you will need to have a custom hole cut into your backplate in order for them to fit (please look at the image for a technical diagram). These cassettes are a solution to broken or missing cassettes on the backplate of uPVC door handles. They are supplied in one unit. They come with a square cut out that can accommodate an 8mm shaft. These spring cassettes provide a great value solution to the issue of door handles that are sagging. These spring cassettes are easy to install and can extend the lifespan of your uPVC door.
